St Mark Educators
Our preschool plays an integral role in the ministry of St. Mark United Methodist Church and is a celebrated resource within our community. We encourage each child to discover the world through hands-on learning and the richness of open-ended play. This creates a solid foundation for their formal education and a love of learning in the years to come. In an atmosphere of love and acceptance modeled by experienced educators, the children develop self-esteem and confidence in their place in the group and in the world. Families are supported by our philosophy of sharing love and respect, resulting in a community where we work together to create a wonderful place for children to thrive.
All of the teachers and assistants at St. Mark have a visible love for teaching young children and have a great understanding of child growth and development. All teachers have education degrees or teaching credentials in Early Childhood Education, and receive yearly continuing education training hours to expand their knowledge of young children. To ensure a safe environment, teachers are certified in First Aid and CPR.
